The Eric Liddell Community is looking for an experienced, creative and commercially minded Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to help grow our profile, reach, engagement and income.

We are a vibrant community hub and charity based in Morningside, Edinburgh. Inspired by the life and values of Eric Liddell, we bring people together to improve health and wellbeing and create a community where no one feels lonely or isolated. Working closely with colleagues, you will also help grow awareness, use and income across our Community Hub, including our café, charity shop, Eric Liddell exhibition and room, office and residential property rental.

About you

You will bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing websites, social media and email marketing
• Experience developing campaigns and producing digital and print content
• A strong understanding of accessible, inclusive and audience-focused communications
• A commercially aware, curious and solutions-focused approach
• Excellent organisational and relationship-building skills
• Confidence using content management systems, CRM platforms, analytics and content-creation tools
• Experience creating visual content, including photography and short-form video
• Relevant marketing or communications qualification, or equivalent professional experience

Experience of venue marketing, room hire, PR, fundraising communications, brand development, or working with older people, people living with dementia or unpaid carers would be an advantage.

What we offer
• 30 days’ annual leave (pro rata) inclusive of public holidays
• A contributory pension scheme, with a 4% employee contribution matched by the employer
• Occupational sick pay
• Death in service cover
• 40% off food at Café Connect
• Access to Edinburgh Leisure classes, gyms and pools for £2 per session through the Community Access Programme
• A flexible time off in lieu approach
