It’s been 100 years since Eric Liddell’s Olympic win!
This is an opportunity to join the global celebration of his centenary and align your school’s or organisation’s sports event with the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Complimentary to The Eric Liddell 100 Education Resource, The Sports Events toolkit provides everything you need to host an Eric Liddell inspired sports event. From downloadable templates for certificates, posters and invitations, to a draft press release and social media posts, the toolkit will help to make your event a success!

Award an Eric Liddell 100 medal
With thanks to Scottish Athletics, we have created an Eric Liddell medal. Should your school like to present one to a pupil at your school sports day, please do not hesitate to email: EL100@ericliddell.org. Instead of giving winners a medal, why not award one to a pupil who best displays Eric’s values of passion, compassion and integrity.
Introductory film
This film (< 4 mins) provides an engaging introduction to Eric Liddell, who he was, the values he led his life by and the inspiration his story provides. It would be the perfect way to start your sporting event or show as part of your awards ceremony, making the link between Eric’s sporting achievements, values and their relevance today.
